IICA Objectives

  • Provide a forum for IICA members to enhance their knowledge.

  • Further the science and practice of measurement, instrumentation and control.

  • Improve the status of its membership

  • Foster high standards for design and manufacture of instrumentation and of control techniques

  • Encourage education in the theory and practice of instrumentation and control, and allied subjects.

  • Promote the standardisation of measuring instruments and determination of standard technology.

  • Support improvements in legislation affecting the practice of instrumentation and control.

 

  • IN ORDER TO MEET THESE OBJECTIVES, THE IICA CONTINUALLY UNDERTAKES OFFICIAL REPRESENTATION AND CO-OPERATION

  • (a) On curriculum bodies for

    • (i) Trade and Post-Trade Certificate Courses.

    • (ii) Graduate and Post-Graduate Courses.

  • (b) With Standards Australia.

  • (c) With related international bodies (ISA).

  • (d) On executive committees for exhibitions and symposia.

  • (e) With related Australian professional bodies such as The Institution of Engineers Australia.
