Certification:
| The IICA has formed a cooperation agreement with the Certified Functional
Safety Expert (CFSE) Governance Board to promote the CFSE and its Certification process, which was previously organized by TÜV Süddeutschland
and by exida.com, and continues to be supported by both of these plus a wide
range of other organizations involved in safety systems.
There are currently in excess of 50 engineers worldwide certified under this
system, and the number is increasing rapidly. Details of the CFSE scheme and the Governance Board are available on the

The Certification will be available in four specialities:

The CFSE Board is now widely representative. Two members of the Board of
Governance are also active IICA committee members (Dr. Ray Wright of
Worksafe Victoria and Mr. Frank Schrever, Managing Director of Pilz
Australia). There are also four other Australian representatives on the
Advisory Boards for Process and Machine Safety, ensuring a significant
Australian input to the system. IICA members applying to be evaluated under
the CFSE scheme will receive a significant discount to the CFSE fees if they
apply through the IICA Federal Secretariat. More details to follow - if you are interested please contact the Federal
